25 April 2008 – Our Easy Access Savings Account rate guarantee just got even better
We are committed to offering our savers consistently high savings rates. In line with this commitment we are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, the interest rate guarantee on our Easy Access Savings Account has been enhanced - it's now higher and longer than ever! We now guarantee to pay at least 0.35% above Base Rate until 2011 and at least match Base Rate until 2013 - that's a whole 5 years peace of mind! The enhanced guarantee applies to both new and existing customers.
11 April 2008 – Our savings rates will not be changing following yesterday's Base Rate change
We are committed to offering our savers simple, transparent and consistently high rate savings accounts. Following the Bank of England decision to reduce Base Rate by 0.25% to 5% our Easy Access Savings Account interest rate will remain at 6.05% AER and our Easy Access ISA at 6.10% AER. With effect 12 April 2008 we will also be launching a new edition of our 6 Month Fixed Rate Savings Account paying 6.86% AER.
11 February 2008 – Our Easy Access Savings Account interest rate is changing
Since December 2007 the Bank of England has reduced the Base Rate from 5.75% to 5.25% (as at 7 February 2008). Following these changes the interest rate on our Easy Access Savings Account will be changing. With effect from 15 February 2008 the new interest rate will be 6.05% AER.
With Icesave’s Easy Access Savings Account you can rest assured you are benefiting from a consistently high interest rate thanks to our guarantee that the AER will exceed the Base Rate by at least 0.25% until 1 October 2009 and thereafter to at least match it until 1 October 2011.
15 January 2008 - New Easy Access ISA now available
We are committed to offering our savers simple, transparent and consistently high rate savings accounts. We are pleased to announce the launch of our Easy Access ISA - a tax-free Mini Cash ISA paying 6.10% AER backed up by a guarantee the AER will beat the Base Rate by at least 0.30% until 31 January 2011 and at least match it until 31 January 2013.
